Long before
there was sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll, there was Carmen. A seductive and
dangerous gypsy, Carmen captures the heart of the soldier Don José, whose
all-consuming jealousy may be her ruin.
You've heard the opera’s iconic “Habanera” aria sung by artists as
varied as Beyoncé, Maria Callas, and the Muppets.
