Mix It Up With Mezcal
Tequila, we love you (okay, some of us hate you, but for
that we blame college). That said, you're not the only blessing of the
agave plant. Gain an appreciation for mezcal thanks to La Urbana's monthly educational and tasting series.
This month the Mexican cantina is partnering with Alipús Mezcal for a
class. As you chow down on shared appetizers and sip the smoky spirit,
you'll learn about mezcal's history and the methods used by Oaxaca-based
Alipús. The two-hour seminar will leave you wanting more — thankfully,
these events happen on the third Monday of every month, so you can make
it a habit to attend. It's educational, after all.
